Paul J Krupin Shares an Educational Article About Pitching Stories

Thursday, December 22nd, 2011

The information below is from Paul J Krupin who shares an article about pitching stories.

Here is a link to a rather hilarious and educational article about pitching
stories to newspapers. Although it focuses on freelancing, the lessons
learned are applicable to all sorts of other publicity seekers and media as
well.

The article supports my long-standing philosphy and the recommended tactics
about recognizing that media are publishers who seek to monetize their
publishing and will only publish stories that support their income streams:
subscriptions and advertising.

The article offers a fresh insight into the reasons for the trends about why
certain types of coverage (including things like book reviews), are sadly
dropping by the wayside.

It emphasizes the need for writers to focus on writing that interests people
and sells.
