Success – Print-On-Demand

Thursday, August 13th, 2009

The following excerpt is from “Success, Your Path to a Successful Book,” by Maralyn D. Hill and Brenda C. Hill.

“The difference between the almost right word and the right word is really a large matter–’tis the difference between the lightning bug and the lightning.” –Mark Twain

What is POD?

Digital printing technology enables a book to be printed and bound in a few minutes. It provides a cost effective means to print as little as one or several books at a time. It does not involve the costly setup fees associated with traditional offset printing and it is growing at 10 to 15% a year.

How do you choose a POD publisher?

That is what we’ll cover in our next post.

Book Review – Feed My Lambs, Feed My Sheep

Monday, August 10th, 2009

“Feed my Lambs, Feed my Sheep” is an interesting newly published book about food memories, and so much more.

Author Nadine Begin has a unique gift for combining poetry, recipes, photography, quotes and words in a winning combination.

I picked up this book for a quick browse and ended up reading most of it in one evening, including the recipes.

Many of her recipes made me nostalgic for the kinds of food my grandmother prepared.

Nadine’s tales of living in a convent turned into a love story that spanned a lifetime. The photos and recipes will make your mouth water for more.

Brenda Hill, book reviewer.

Writing Tips: Success Rhymes with Stress!!!

Friday, August 7th, 2009

If you’ve never noticed, the word success rhymes with stress.

Thanks in part to the writing team of Nigro and Nigro, The Hills knew that achieving success would require hard work.

We have learned that we must totally dedicate ourselves to our success mission.

Yes,we have experienced disappointments and frustrations along our path. We have learned to look at these setbacks as learning lessons. To paraphrase Maralyn, it is important to view difficult situations as opportunities.

Successful people persevere in good times and bad.

So do cats, did you know that Maralyn and Norm’s cat is named Perse for Perseverance?

Norm is our editor for our books and articles and the three of us all work towards helping each other stay on track. So, channel your stress to success.
